Maria A. Dahrieh - Managing Partner & Founder at WhaleShark

Skilled in corporate restructuring, fundraising and in investor relations, with an Investment Banker Degree, BA in Wealth Management and Masters in International Management. Founder of YoungPro Network (connecting students & recruiters), Vanilae (future cities) and WhaleShark (connecting startups & investors).

Many years of experience in assignments in supporting talent scouting, startups-scaleups in their expansion strategies in opening new market and finding investors. Coming across several early stage seed ventures having issues with putting together investment strategies, presentations, understanding what is in the investors mind, the terminologies to name a few. WhaleShark was born aiding startups with a focus on getting them investment ready. A pre-VC Program, business Advisory, and deal sourcing services offered; one aimed at identifying improvement diagnostic and addressing issues early, customize recommendations suited to the ventures based on their needs and capabilities; and the second, working with a hands-on approach, enabling entrepreneurs to accelerate growth, keeping on track with both mission being to improve their chances of getting funded. Thereafter, convert the startups to qualified and certified as low degree of risk deal flow to WhaleShark international investors network.

Johannes is a Vice President at GP Bullhound. Prior to joining the firm, Johannes worked in the MENA Investment Banking team at Goldman Sachs in Dubai, covering clients in the Middle East and North Africa across M&A, and equity and debt capital markets. Johannes holds a BSc in Business and Economics from the Stockholm School of Economics, specialised in Finance and Accounting.
