Carl Wessberg is an Executive Director at GP Bullhound and a technology investment banker focusing on cross-border M&A and capital transactions for high-growth businesses. Carl has worked with successful companies such as DeliveryHero, Klarna, MatHem, Icomera, Pingdom and Tobii among others. In 2007, Carl started his Investment Banking career at Credit Suisse in London working with Telecom, Media & Technology Transactions. Prior to joining Credit Suisse, and alongside his studies, Carl worked at the Swedish Private Equity fund Valedo. Carl graduated from the Stockholm School of Economics and holds an MSc in Finance.

Skilled in corporate restructuring, fundraising and in investor relations, with an Investment Banker Degree, BA in Wealth Management and Masters in International Management. Founder of YoungPro Network (connecting students & recruiters), Vanilae (future cities) and WhaleShark (connecting startups & investors).

Many years of experience in assignments in supporting talent scouting, startups-scaleups in their expansion strategies in opening new market and finding investors. Coming across several early stage seed ventures having issues with putting together investment strategies, presentations, understanding what is in the investors mind, the terminologies to name a few. WhaleShark was born aiding startups with a focus on getting them investment ready. A pre-VC Program, business Advisory, and deal sourcing services offered; one aimed at identifying improvement diagnostic and addressing issues early, customize recommendations suited to the ventures based on their needs and capabilities; and the second, working with a hands-on approach, enabling entrepreneurs to accelerate growth, keeping on track with both mission being to improve their chances of getting funded.
